Hunting Trips and Special HuntsShoot Like a Girl is proud to have teamed up with the Pursuit Channel’s Monster Trophy Whitetails with Dr. Jimmy Steger to encourage women to hunt. Dr. Steger joined us for a Ladies Hunt at Bosco Lodge in Bosco, LA (near Monroe). The show has aired on the Pursuit Channel on 9 November at 10:30 am, 12 November at 8:00 pm, and 14 November at 9:00 am central standard time, check local listings for your time zone.
The owner of Shoot Like A Girl, Karen Butler, is filmed in this hunt harvesting a buck that scored 142.25 (B&C). The goal of teaming up with Dr. Steger was to help overcome some of the challenges and stereotypes women face to become avid hunters. Many ladies want to hunt, and simply need some education and a little encouragement to empower them to get out in the field and hunt! This joint venture provides ladies with just that, a little education and a whole lot of encouragement from Shoot Like A Girl brought to women across the country via the Pursuit Channel and Monster Trophy Whitetails!
Also filmed during this hunt was Ammie Kennedy, a staff shooter for Shoot Like A Girl. This was Ammie’s first hunt…ever. Ammie harvested a very nice buck at 140 (B&C). Her hunting adventure will hopefully be aired at a later date.

The entire hunt was hosted by Bosco Lodge. This lodge offers hunters the opportunity for the hunt of a lifetime, with amenities that are high end comfort.
